This ticket was printed sometime between August 1st and August 8th. President Nixon resigned on August 9, 1974.(2) Admission Ticket to be used by a Member of the House of Representatives, 5.25"" x 2.75"", ""United States Senate / Impeachment of the President / Admit Member - House of Representatives / to the Senate Floor / October 7, 1974"" Signed in facsimile ""Wm H. In 1974, the first Monday in October was October 7; hence the Impeachment of President Nixon was scheduled to begin on October 7, 1974, the day it was required by law that the Chief Justice be in Washington."
