The Tempest
London: William Heinemann Limited, 1926. First published in 1926, first trade edition. Illustrated by Arthur Rackham with 20 color prints tipped in and 25 drawings of black-and-white. Black cloth over boards with gold lettering and design on the front and on the spine. Light tent the top page edges. No tears, bent pages, previous owners name written neatly in the inside flyleaf dated 1930. Shelf wear to the edges and to the head and toe of the spine are minor with light rub to the bottom and top tips. Light scuff Mark on the back upper board. Dust Jacket, no bent flaps, nor is it price clipped. Light Browning to the front and back cover some darkening to the spine. The title, illustrator, drawing, price and publisher are still legible on the spine. On the back inside of the dust jacket peers to be a roller Mark with a small hole upper left near the top edge. Dust jacket now in a clear cover. Text, color plates and illustrations are bright and clean, binding is secure, a solid collectible perfect children's book.. First Trade Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Illus. by Arthur Rackham. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Collectible Children's.
