Burgh, one page of music, one fishing scene head-piece and 15 woodcuts of fishand other woodcut illustrations. xxiv, 340, [8] pp. 1 vols. 12mo (152 x 90 mm.). Nineteenth Century full maroon pebbled morocco, gilt, front inner hinge just starting, else fine. Bookplate of Dean Sage. Burgh, H. The Second Moses Browne Edition ("The Seventh Edition, very much amended and improved"). With 10 engraved copperplates by H. Burgh, one page of music, one fishing scene head-piece and 15 woodcuts of fishand other woodcut illustrations. xxiv, 340, [8] pp. 1 vols. 12mo (152 x 90 mm.). Not only is the text expanded by 28 pages over the first Moses Browne (1750), but there is an additional 4 copperplates in the second. Browne's was a major edition of Walton, made at the suggestion of Samuel Johnson, and from it "the Angler's popularity dates." - Coigney.
