Navy". Japanese fish taken from Recent Specimens by the Artists of the U. S. Japan Expedition, 10 hand coloured engraved plates numbered III- XII with 36 pages of text. Clean brown publishers cloth with lightly rubbed/chipped spine head and rubbed spine heel. Gilt title on spine. Front lower corners slightly bumped. Light foxing on a few text pages with all plates clean. Bookplate of George Page Ely who was the husband of bookbinder Caro Weir Ely of Connecticut. Fish, Asia, Japan; Color Plates; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 36 pages [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
