London - C. and J. Rivington, 1825. London - C. and J. Rivington, 1825 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. A handsomely bound set of the sermons of the Right Rev. Theodore Dehon. Together with some accounts of the author, and a sermon preached upon his death. Dehon (1776 1817) was the second Bishop of South Carolina and, despite succumbing to yellow fever onlyfive years after his appointment, his limited writings met with much posthumous success. Complete in two volumes. Condition: In half calf bindings with cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart with just some minor rubbing to the leather and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Some spotting to the first and last few pages of each volume but pages are otherwise clean and bright with just the occasional spot. Ink copperplate inscription to front free endpaper of volume one. Overall: VERY GOOD INDEED..
