VERY RARE Highly important and valuable primary source, written by the late Rector of Gohyakurakan Monastery, Japan. Illustrated by sketches documenting his pilgrimage & year's stay in Darje- eling, Nepal, Himalaya, Tibet, Lhasa, Sera College, audience with 2 Kings, Katmandu, etc. An extraordinary story, during the time when these countries were closed to occidentals,and current information was nonextant.
