London: Bradbury & Evans, 1846. 1st Edition (Arents Catalogue, p. 57; Cohn 193). Original mauve-colored paper wrappers. Custom red chemise & pull-off case. General wear & soiling to wrappers. Evidence of old, discrete paper repairs to spines. Prior owner signature in upper right corner of Parts I & II. A VG set in a VG+ custom case.. 4 parts, complete, published at 1s. each, April - July, 1846. Each part with 32 pages of letterpress, though paginated continuously through the 4 parts. Part III with an advert leaf at rear. Illustrated with 4 etchings, 6 woodcuts & 35 glyphographs (cf Bamber Gascoigne 33b). 8vo. 8-11/16" x 5-3/4" A short-lived literary miscellany, with most contributions of an anonymous nature, though we note two by Wills. Not too long after the publication of this monthly, Wills would take a position working for Charles Dickens, as the Inimitable's sub-editor for Household Words & All The Year Round, a role he held from 1849 - 1868.
