Overall a about fine copy. Scarce signature and inscription on the first endpaper by pulp fiction author and comic book creator Kendell Foster Crossen. This is the first book of the 4 novel pulp fiction detective series featuring one of his most famous protagonists, Brian Brett, written by Crossen writing under the pseudonym Christopher Monig. The 1958 movie The Man Inside starring actors Jack Palance and Anita Ekberg was based on one of Crossen's novels in the series featuring the character Milo March. Paperback Library published all 21 novels of the series with cover art paintings by the the legendary pulp artist Robert McGinnis. Crossen wrote over 45 pulp fiction novels, 300 short stories, numerous screenplays and hundreds of radio scripts under many pseudonyms including; M.E.
