Folio bifolium (approx. 14½" tall), with a wood-engraved vignette of Porter on the front, and a full-page wood-engraved illustration on the back of "Admiral Farragut's Memorable Engagement in the Capture of New Orleans," with text in double column in the middle giving a sketch of the life of Porter, a suggestive table of contents, and specifics on 5 different styles of bindings, with prices varying from $5.50 to $12.00. A few short splist at previous folds; very good. OCLC locates one copy at the University of Michigan.
