A presentation copy, inscribed on the front endpaper: "Here is 'The Moon' at last! I've started to send it a hundred times because I've always remembered with gratitude that you were one of the first really to like and appreciate the play and I've always wanted you to have it. May you like it as well on a second reading! With all my best to you, Eugene." The unnamed recipient is a family member of Agnes Boulton, O'Neill's second wife. Atkinson 8-I-i.a (for first 1919 printing; this 1921 printing not recorded) Publisher's brown paper-covered boards, stamped in black, orange cloth spine, stamped in black, small bit of paper residue to head of spine, endpapers foxed, else near fine.
