Brown cloth over grey textured paper boards, with grey lettering on the front cover and black lettering on the spine. Cover illustration by Frantisek Maly. Photo-illustrated frontispiece. The book is a text and photographic documentation of the German occupation of Moravia (Czechoslovakia) during WWII. The first section of the work includes historical and personal accounts of the period, while the second section of the book contains a total of 60 plates of photographic reproductions on glossy paper. The subjects of the photos include German governmental buildings, German-controlled institutions and detention centers. Text in Czech. Dj with some rubbing and or chipping to corners, and head & tail of the spine. Some small creases and/or closed tears along the edges. Light staining and smudges to the back cover. Binding with some light rubbing and bumping along the edge and to corners. Light stains along the bottom edge of the front cover and to the back cover. Interior with some light sporadic smudges to the margins of some of the glossy pages throughout. Small markings in pen to the top right corner of the front free endpaper. Binding tight and images clean. Dj in good, binding in good+, interior in very good condition overall. Scarce in dust jacket. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
