Rapin Thoyras, Mr de,
The History of England, as well Ecclesiastical as Civil. Done into English from the French, with large and useful Notes mark'd with an *, by N. Tindal. 15 volumes
A Rhames, Dublin, 1726. 15 vol set in contemporary full calf leather bindings, gilt ruled and with raised bands to spine. Page ends tinted red. An early and rare set published in Dublin between 1726 (vol I) & 1731 (vol XV). Gilt to spine labels still quite bright. Most have the inscription of an early owner, John Richards, written in the title pages, some have Thomas Richards inscribed to the ffeps. The bindings are tight. The boards are often scuffed and rubbed to the edges and some volumes have minor chips to the spine ends. Remarkably clean internally. Overall they comprise a very handsome and well kept set. Likely to require additional shipping charge for non-UK deliveries. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
