Very good in a near fine price-clipped dust jacket with some light wear to the crown. Jacket design by Red Uhlman. Signed examples seldom enter the market. "The Sheltering Sky stands head and shoulders above most other novels published in English since World War II" (The New Republic). It was named by The Modern Library as one of the 100 greatest novels of the twentieth century and by listed by TIME Magazine Best English-language Novels from 1923 to 2005. It was adapted by Bernardo Bertolucci into the 1990 film with the same title starring Debra Winger and John Malkovich, and with a screenplay by Mark Peploe.
