String-tied brown marbled paper wrappers, with red-brown lettering on the front cover. This scarce publication is visual survey of the production facility and a catalog of ships manufactured by the Joseph Boel & Zonen (Josef Boel & Sons) company at their shipyard in Temse, Belgium. Illustrated throughout with a total of 52 beautifully- printed full page b/w photogravure (collotype) plates, including 5 plates of cross-sectional design schematics by Ernst Thill. Each image includes a protective tissue guard is captioned in two languages, with French always present, usually with Dutch (Flemish) and occasionally English. The range of ships shown include tankers, cargo ships, steamships and passenger barges of various kinds. There are also images of various areas of facility, and a color-coded graph of annual production at the facility from 1921 to 1931 (initial leaf). All text in French, Dutch and occasionally in English. Wrappers with some light bumping and rubbing to extremities. A few minor stains to covers. Interior with some sporadic minor water stains and/or smudges to the plates, with images almost entirely unaffected. One plate with a small brown stain on the image itself. Some light creasing to few of the tissue guards. Wrappers in very good, interior in very good+ condition overall. Quite scarce.
