CHAPPELL, Fred
Dagon
Harcourt, Brace & World, New York, 1968. First edition. Fine in a very good plus dustwrapper with a little rubbing and a short tear at the foot. Inscribed by the author to an American poet: "For - Best wisher to one of The Poets - Fred & Sue Chappell." The inscription is entirely in Fred Chappell's hand. "A Southern Gothic with cosmic overtones that shows equal influence of Faulkner and Lovecraft." - Barron. *Fantasy and Horror* 6-86. A nicer copy than usual of this disturbing book, the author's third and least common novel, and very seldom found signed. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
Bookseller: Between the Covers-Rare Books, Inc. ABAA [Gloucester City, NJ, U.S.A.]
