TOBY, Mark
The Courtship of Eddie's Father
Bernard Geis Associates, New York, 1961. First edition. Fine in a very good plus, lightly rubbed dustwrapper with a tear on the rear panel and a very faint stain on the rear flap fold. This copy nicely Inscribed by the author to a fellow author: "To Clair Kahane, I hope you like it. Believe me, if I had known you were going to read it I would have done it better. Mark Toby." Basis for the 1963 Vincente Minnelli film featuring Glenn Ford, Shirley Jones, Stella Stevens, Dina Merrill, and Jerry Van Dyke, with Ron Howard as Eddie. Later a popular television series with Bill Bixby, Brandon Cruz, and, on several occasions, a very young Jody Foster (not to mention a catchy Harry Nilsson theme song). A scarce book, especially signed. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
Bookseller: Between the Covers-Rare Books, Inc. ABAA [Gloucester City, NJ, U.S.A.]
