Small 4to, half-title wanting, 21pp, [nine blank leaves added for bulk]; nineteenth-century three-quarter morocco, marbled boards and matching endpapers, t.e.g. The first book published at Walpole's Strawberry Hill Press, from the first printing, on thin paper, with "Illissus" on p. 8, "Swarm," on p. 16. A presentable copy. Two bookplates (Edward Bellamy, Newton Hall Cambridge); fingernail sized hole to the inner margin of the last five leaves has been repaired at some point, with pages likely washed for binding (faint remains of some minor marginal notations, light spots); cover rubbed.
