Archive Copies of El Comancho's Teepee Tales
1922. Very Good. Set of six volumes containing the file or archive copies of El Comancho's Teepee Tales, dated from 1922 to 1925, and one book titled "Teepee Tales" by El Comancho published in 1927 (7 volumes total). Five of the six archive copies have approximately 300 to 350 pages (content on recto only) , and one volume, an index, has approximately 15 pages. String bindings hold together black flexible boards or light green cardstock; titles are in manuscript on front board or on spine, written in black ink. Some of the content is typed but most seem to be copies; light marginalia throughout. The volumes have a title page, a leaf titled "sheet of schedule" with Teepee Tales' titles and release dates, followed by the stories themselves. A title, serial number and release date are included for each tale. Also included is "Teepee Tales" by El Comancho (illustrated Charles Livingstone Bull & the author) published by Reilly & Lee in 1927, which compiles the syndicated Teepee Tales in one volume. Overall this set is in very good condition with moderate wear and toning to bindings; a few leaves have heavy toning, but most are clean or have light toning; the book "Teepee Tales" has light wear at spine.
