[37; [163] pages, 13 lines, black ink with verse markers and lines of emphasis in red, catchwords and occasional marginal additions. Complete. 1 vols. 12mo. Two manuscript commentaries on the Qur'an from the Syrian ʻAbd al-Ghanī al-Nābulusī (A.H. 1050-1143, 1641-1731 C.E.). The first text is on Surat al-A'raf (7:189). Incipit: Jara 'andana bayna at-Talabah ... Kalam 'ala ma'na qawlihi ta'ala fi Surat al-A'raf ... The second text is a commentary on Surat al-Baqarah (the reference in the title is to angels Harut and Marut, 2:102). Incipit: fa yaqul shaykhuna al-imam al-fadil al muhaqqaq ... [p. 8:] Birhan al-Thubut fī Tabri'at Harut wa Marut. The preliminary remarks of this work suggest it was transmitted in the presence of the son of the author.
