The Eagle Pass Route is standard gauge throughout, which makes travel safer, faster, and less fatiguing. Pullman buffet sleeping cars are run daily between San Antonio, Texas and City of Mexico, and return, without change, via Eagle Pass Route and connecting lines. 18 panels offer information on numerous time tables, schedules, Pullman Buffet sleeping car rates, hotels, population and area of several of the states of the Republic of Mexico, meteorological report for rainfall and temperature throughout a 12 month period in Mexico, the extent of the railroads constructed in Mexico, a two column map of the United States and Mexico that details the Mexican International Railroad and its connections, etc. Covers show a picture of the International Bridge over the Rio Grande between Ciudad Porfirio Diaz, Mexico and Eagle Pass, Texas. Map dated 1896. The opposite 18 panels offers a color map of Mexico, entitled, FERROCARRIL INTERNACIONAL MEXICANO Y SUS CONEXIONES and presenting the entire railway route and its connections. Inset is a 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" map entitled, VALLE DE MEXICO. Also shown is a chart of distances and a topographical chart showing sea levels. Minor splitting to some folds.
