Moon Through the Eyepiece Map of Lunar Surface Features
Downey, CA: North American Aviation, 1963. This nomenclature map of the Moon was published in 1963 by Aero-Space Laboratories, Missile Division, North American Aviation (later North American Rockwell). This printed lithograph is on Verso paper - thick quality paper with a laminated component - and is crisp and clear. Measures 30"Wx24"H unframed, and is comprised of the original Moore-Chappell photographic series of the Moon taken over a 10 year period. Through the assistance of Dr. Dinsmore Alter, Director of Griffith Observatory, and Dr. Green of Aero-Space Laboratories, 309 geographically prominent lunar features were selected for the Map, as well as selected Lunar Data. A useful tool for anyone interested in lunar science. In new condition, the Map was rolled and stored since it was printed.
