DIARY Of A WIMPY KID. Greg Heffley's Journal; Rodrick Rules; Do-It-Yourself Book; The Last Straw; Dog Days; Ugly Truth; Cabin Fever; The Third Wheel; Hard Luck. Volumes 1 - 9

New York:: Amulet Books,. 2007 - 2013.. 8vo. 8-1/4" x 5-1/2". 1st printing [all books]. All books SIGNED by the author. ~ 200 - 220 pp / volume. Promotional sticker present in "Roderick Rules".. Full color pictorial composition binding.. A solid & respectable Nr Fine - Fine set.. A complete set of the most popular chapter book series since Harry Potter. Hard Luck, number 9 in the series, was released in November 2013 and sold more than one million copies in its first week. There are no kids books currently being published that elicit more excitement among juvenile readers, especially young boys. From a collector's point of view, the Wimpy Kid series is compelling as a collectible. It started on the web, as an online cartoon. Whatever the history of children's books in the early part of the 21st century ends up being, this jump from electronic to print will be in it. Expectations for the printed books were modest. According to the blog of the printer, "it was clear that a couple of months after the initial 24,150 print run that this book was going places...It became a tidal wave and the wave is still rising. To date, [we've] printed 75 million copies (as of August 7, 2013)." A first print run of 25,000 is& not huge and the point is, these books were read. Wimpy Kid also inspired many imitators, many of which were also bestsellers, and it bridges the gap between chapter books and graphic novels. It's not just popular, it's influential. . Illustrated with drawings by the author.

Reorganization of the Federal Judiciary: Committee Hearings... 3 Vols

2007. United States Senate. Reorganization of the Federal Judiciary. Hearings before the Committee on the Judiciary, United States Senate, Seventy-fifth Congress, First Session, on S. 1392, a Bill to Reorganize the Judicial Branch of the Government. Washington: Government Printing Office, 1937. 2040, 49 pp. 6 parts, in 3 vols. Reprinted 2007 by The Lawbook Exchange, Ltd. Set ISBN-13: 9781584778080. Set ISBN-10: 1584778083. Hardcover. New. * Complete reprint of the sole edition. Includes the Adverse Report, and Hearings, Part 1 to 6. This set of hearing transcripts and the texts of supporting documents chronicles the history of Franklin D. Roosevelt's court-packing plan and its defeat in the United States Senate. Angered by the Court's hostility to legislation relating to the New Deal, Roosevelt proposed a bill to expand the membership of the court on February 5, 1937. Presented as a way to increase efficiency, it was intended to create seats for justices who would support the New Deal. The resulting struggle was a critical episode in Roosevelt's presidency and one of the nastiest clashes between the executive and judiciary in American history. Roosevelt's plan failed, but the debate had a profound effect on the Court's attitude toward the New Deal, which lead many to believe that the president was ultimately successful.

Nazraeli Press, Portland 2007 - 1/50. Small folio. [8], LXI, [7]pp. Original 3/4 leather over black silk covered boards with gold lettering on spine. Title page signed by Michael Kenna. The original signed print is laid in a clover paper encasement within a folio covered in fine silk. The book, print, and folio are cased in a clamshell (13 x 9") of a striking high-grade black silk, with a 3 x 2 3/4" tipped-in image of a cross. For years Michael Kenna has been recognized as one of the world’s leading photographers, an artist with so great a grasp of place that his way of seeing Stonehenge, Versailles, Easter Island, Hokkaido, and elsewhere has become "our" way of seeing them. Kenna has now turned his eye to Mont-Saint-Michel where light dawns through graceful arches, cascades down stairways and roadways, wraps itself around 900 year old Gothic architecture in a delicate embrace as it seeps into otherwise impermeable stone to illuminate it from within. Kenna has indeed created the photographic portrait of the island and its architecture, a body of work which rivals and complements Henry Adams’ classic Mont-Saint-Michel and Chartres, the famed book which is the verbal portrait of the Mount (from the publisher). The print image (of the castle atop the mountain) is 4 1/2 x 4" (the window that reveals it is just slightly larger) and is on a page measuring 10 x 7", anchored on the side. On the bottom, it is signed, dated, and numbered out of 50. The book measures 8 x 12" and contains 64 duotone plates (including frontispiece and two vignettes). This copy is one of 50 issued as a signed deluxe limited edition, of which this is No. 33 (total edition of 2,000). In custom slipcase. Slipcase in very good, clamshell box, book, print and folio are in fine condition. [Attributes: First Edition; Soft Cover]

Santa Fe, NM: Twin Palms Publishers, 2013. First Edition. First Printing.. Hardcover. As New/As New Dust Jacket.. Santa Fe, NM: Twin Palms Publishers, 2013. Hardcover. As New/As New. First Edition/First Printing. 196 pages. The photographer&#39;s debut retrospective monograph. Limited Slipcased Edition of 150 numbered and signed copies. Should not be confused with the Limited Edition of 8000 copies, none of which is numbered or signed. The edition sold out before publication and is now rare. A brilliant production by Ryan McGinley and Jack Woody: Oversize-volume format. Pale green cloth boards with titles embossed on cover and spine, as issued. Photographs by Ryan McGinley. Text by Vince Aletti and Sylvia Wolf. Blue cloth slipcase with metallic-silver titles embossed on the cover and spine. Printed on thick coated stock paper in Korea to the highest standards. The reproduction quality is vastly superior to the early catalogs that were first published by McGinley. In publisher&#39;s original shrinkwrap. In pictorial DJ with titles on the cover and spine, as issued. Presents, in its most collectible format, Ryan McGinley&#39;s first retrospective collection, and best book. The fact that this production took more than ten years to realize is a record-of-sorts in publishing history. Some collectors we know died between the time the edition was first announced, promptly sold out, and was finally released in 2013, an eternity by any measure. The waiting is over; here it is at last. "The artist has selected the best photographs from his first decade of work. He uses photography to break down barriers between public and private spheres of activity. A portrait of a generation that is savvy about visual culture and acutely aware of how identity can be communicated through photography" (Publisher&#39;s blurb). A "must-have" edition for Ryan McGinley completists. <b><i> This copy is one of the Limited Slipcased Edition of 150 copies, indicated/numbered as such on the Back Limitation Page, and it is very prominently and beautifully signed in black ink-pen by Ryan McGinley. It is signed directly on the page itself, not on a tipped-in page. This title sold out before publication, is no longer available from the publisher, and is now highly collectible. This is one of very few copies of the Limited Slipcased Edition still available online, is still in the publisher&#39;s original shrinkwrap, and has absolutely no flaws, a pristine beauty. While it took more than ten years to produce, it is nevertheless the most collectible edition to own. A rare signed copy thus. </b></i> 90 color plates. Winner of the "Photographer of the Year" Infinity Award in 2007. One of the most brilliant living American photographers. A flawless collectible copy.         Kurt Vonnegut's Apocalypse Blues

(Ann Arbor): State Street Press. (2007). The advance reading copy of an unpublished book about Vonnegut, with illustrations by Vonnegut and an original frontispiece by Ralph Steadman. Together with a photocopy of Brinkley's original typescript, with textual differences from the printed version. In 2006, Brinkley published a profile of Vonnegut in Rolling Stone; in 2007, after Vonnegut's death, Borders (State Street Press) asked Brinkley if he had a longer, un-edited version of the article that could be used as a tribute book. The 53-page typescript included here, entitled Choking the Broomhandle, became the 93-page advance reading copy of the book Apocalypse Blues before the project was ended, for reasons unknown to us. The typescript has some editorial changes in an unknown hand and is near fine; the advance reading copy is fine in wrappers. . First Edition. Softcover.

New York City, NY: Visionaire Publishing, LLC, 2007. First Edition. First Printing.. Hardcover. As New/No Dust Jacket, As Issued.. New York City, NY: Visionaire Publishing, LLC, 2007. Hardcover. As New/None, As Issued. First Edition/First Printing. Unpaginated. Fashion-cum-Photography Magazine, presented as an Artist Book. Number 52 in the Series. One of the most austerely beautiful Issues of Visionaire, which otherwise celebrates over-the-top opulence bordering on decadence. Limited Edition of 2500 numbered copies, which sold out shortly after publication. The Issue is now rare. The Limited-Edition Louis Vuitton case was exclusively created for the Issue by Marc Jacobs. Alas and Piggott travelled to New York, London, and Paris in search of their personal muses. Their subjects include actors Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, and Selma Blair; singers Jennifer Lopez and Lil&#39; Kim; models Gisele Bundchen, Stephanie Seymour, and Christy Turlington; New York City Ballet principal dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied; and fashion designers Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, and Stella McCartney, among many others. "For the third issue of Visionaire sponsored by Louis Vuitton, photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, known for their relentlessly glossy imagery, present a series of work decidedly more gritty. &#39;Private&#39; seeks to capture fleeting, intimate moments. Somewhere along in the process, the clothes happen to come off, making for rare, risque, uncalculated photographs of some of the most famous people in the world. Shot on closed sets on which only the subjects and the two photographers were present, &#39;Private&#39; showcases Mert & Marcus&#39; uncanny ability to show men and women not just at their sexiest and most jaw-droppingly gorgeous, but also at their most intensely personal" (Publisher&#39;s blurb). The famous names and faces do indeed make nudity fashionable. And the collection also includes the unheralded, not-so-famous Jamie Dornan, who was then (despite being merely a model) and is now (as the hottest Hollywood discovery) The Sexiest Man Alive. Bar none. Unbearably handsome and sexy at the same time (they seldom go together), Dornan has shed off his clothes in countless fashion advertisements. In "Private", he bares it all for the first time. Dornan will do more undressing for his breakthrough role as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" (2014). Meanwhile, here he, infamously, is. An absolute "must-have" title for erotic art photography collectors. <b><i> This title is now highly collectible. This is one of very few copies still available online, is still in the publisher&#39;s original shrinkwrap, and has absolutely no flaws, a pristine beauty. Please note: The scans accompanying this listing are stock photos from Visionaire, not of our unopened/sealed copy. Because it is very difficult to find in collectible condition, copies available online command incredible prices. Visionaire itself, which buys Back Issues, sells an opened copy for $1800. A rare copy thus. </b></i> Some of the world&#39;s most Beautiful People, photographed by two of the most brilliant living photographers of fashion, lifestyle, and the nude. A flawless collectible copy. . ISBN 1888645636.

        The Four Gospels Limited Edition

Folio Society, London 2007 - Fine Hardback. No inscriptions or bookplates. Fine slipcase. Limited edition of 2750 of which this is number 2719. Facsimile copy of The Four Gospels of the Lord Jesus Christ According to the Authorized Version of King James I With Decorations by Eric Gill, Printed and Published at the Golden Cockerel Press MCMXXXI. Full black goatskin with gilt titling and decoration; all edges gilt., decorations by Eric Gill. Also The Four Gospels: Eric Gill and the Golden Cockerel Type: Essays by John Dreyfus & Robert Gittings. Blocked in 24-carat gold with a design featuring Eric Gill's four symbols for Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, supported in a blind-blocked frame. Enthusiasts of fine printing have their favourites, but almost all would agree that The Four Gospels, designed by The Golden Cockerel Press and with engravings by Eric Gill, was the culminating achievement of the private press movement. Sebastian Carter, a leading authority on 20th-century typography and one of the finest letterpress printers working today, lyrically described it as ?both the solstice and the sunset of Golden Cockerel under Robert Gibbings?. The 500 copies from the original printing are to be found in pre-eminent institutions and private collections around the world, including the Royal Collection (a copy was purchased by King George V), Boston University?s Silver Collection and the British Library. The Grolier Club, the shrine for bibliophiles in America, called The Four Gospels Gill?s ?greatest achievement in bookmaking?, and their copy, number 62, holds a treasured position in their collection of rare and fine printed books. Unsurprisingly, these almost never reach the open market, and when they do, they command prices of around £10,000. Robert Gibbings, the owner of The Golden Cockerel Press and a wonderful wood-engraver himself, had already collaborated with Eric Gill on several beautiful books when he decided to create his finest book yet: an ambitious decorated edition of the four Gospels. The two men decided jointly on where illustrations would occur, and whether each subject merited full page, half page or a smaller ornament. The type was then set under Gibbings?s direction, leaving appropriate spaces for which Gill designed his exquisite, dramatic and imaginative initial letters and words. Leaves curl into the space between paragraphs, swords hang down into the margin, and the symbols of the evangelists each hold up the title of their gospel. It was a marriage of image and text that recalls the best of medieval illuminated manuscripts, yet is suited perfectly to the modern age and flawless in its execution.
