        CARD ***Signed***

1995 - Card signed "Rosa Parks" in black ink. Fine Condition Parks, Rosa Louise, 1913-2005, American civil-rights activist, b. Tuskegee, Ala., as Rosa Louise McCauley. A seamstress and long-time member of the Montgomery, Ala., chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), her Dec. 1, 1955, arrest for refusing to give up her seat on a municipal bus to a white man sparked the Montgomery bus boycott. This successful protest, which lasted just over a year, marked the emergence of Martin Luther King, Jr., to national prominence as a civil-rights leader and provided the model for future nonviolent movement actions. Fired from her job and unable to find work, Parks moved in 1957 to Detroit, where she remained active in the civil-rights movement and worked (1965-88) as an aide to Congressman John Conyers. She was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, Congress's highest honor, in 1999. [Attributes: Signed Copy]

Lieutenant Colonel N.A.M. Dudley Court of Inquiry, Fort Stanton, New Mexico 1879

R.M. Barron, El Paso, Texas 1995 - A RARE LINCOLN COUNTY WAR ITEM! This is the original four volume spiral bound set. 984 pp., each volume indexed, photographs, documents. In fine condition! This is one of the RARE, original spiral bound sets R.M. Barron produced. As per his daughter Donna Tatting who graciously informed us that "only 19 copies of this four volume set exist." R.M. Barron's monumental effort to edit and typescript the original documents from the Dudley Court of Inquiry is, to this day, one of the milestone's in the Lincoln County War and Billy The Kid area of study and research. It is simply amazing what R.M. Barron did for the rest of us! Please note, shipping will be quoted because of the weight of the four volumes and the buyers location.       Hodder, UK 1995 - Hodder, UK. 1995. This book was ostensibly first published by Viking in the USA in July 1995 and by Hodder in September 1995. What the official records do not reveal is that Fine Edition Books received ten copies of the black endpapered book from a Hodder rep on Tuesday the 4th of April 1995 and mailed them to regular customers the following day, accompanied by a Fine Edition headed letter (with our London address, at the time) dated 05 April 1995, stating that they were receiving one of ten copies we had received the day before (months prior to the book's official publication anywhere in the world). This was published by NT/Oberon books in 2003 and has been Signed by Philip Pullman and the author Robert Butler. Both the original and the NT alethiometers are also included within this set.
