Ben Gurion's Scandals: How the Haganah and the Mossad Eliminated Jews

USA: Glilit Publishing Co., Inc.. Hardcover. 261 pages. Bibliography. Reproductions of black and white illustrations in text. "...Reveals for the first time shocking incidents of misconduct by Ben Gurion throughout his political career and later by the succeeding Israeli governments. Examples include: The sinking of ships carrying Jewish survivors from Europe; The bombing of Jewish installations in Iraq in order to force the Jews to leave Iraq for Israel; His disregard of vital information pertaining to the slaughter of Jews in Europe during the Holocaust;... When the author first saw the research materal used for this book, he was shocked. He did not believe that Jews could kill other Jews for political objectives. After reading the material, he gradually started to document the information and as a result this book evolved. Never before has anything been published like this. These are all true and shocking facts and he belives the reader will be moved, just as he was." - from dust jacket.         Anacleto, Jay / early original pin up art / Harrier Comics #2 1995

1995 - Jay Anacleto: 1995 original ink & pencil pin-up art on illustration paper, for Harrier Comics #2, 1995. 'The Fly [alien]'. 11" x 17", image continues nearly to the edges. Slightly age-toned, else Fine. See scans. Protected within matting board, but not framed or matted. Unsigned, at least on the front. An extraordinarily textured, detailed, labor-intensive piece by Anacleto - a rare, EARLY published piece - executed for Harrier in his so-called "struggling years" in the Philippines, prior to his coming statewide to work for Marvel and DC etc . In the image, an imaginatively-clad space warrior floats weightlessly, among high-tech machinery and near another space-person, apparently outside a starship of some kind. Very detailed; the amount of work that goes into something like this continues to boggle the mind. Big and emphatic and worthy of dominating a room when hung. LART [Attributes: Soft Cover]

Vermont: Janus Press, 1995. Waverly upholstery cotton covered box. Janus Press. square 8vo. Waverly upholstery cotton covered box. 9 squares creating a friendship quilt. Limited to 100 copies, signed by all the participants. A poem by Margaret Kaufman that is a sequel to "Aunt Sallie's Lament" and creates a friendship quilt in celebration of her seventy-fifth birthday. It has nine squares from family and friends, each with its own greeting card and Sallie's comments. Each of the greeting cards was handwritten by a different woman and then printed. The designs were laser printed and some were hand colored. The title is stitched in with lavender crochet thread, and Sallie's verses are printed in Trump Mediaeval. The pages create a changing quilt pattern accumulating the names of the quilters and are made of papers from Barcham Green, Richard Langdell, MacGregor-Vinzani, Fabriano, Rives, and Mohawk Superfine. Many of the papers have patterns that are made up from a variety of printers' flowers plus linocuts for the appliqued designs. The cover is quilted with patterned cottons. The inside of the front cover of the box contains a silk flower bouquet. The boxes were made by Judi Conant and Mary Richardson. Includes the colophon in an eight page pamphlet with a cover using an embossed quilt card design by Lisa McMasters for Stone Ginger Press.

(Lawrence, KS:. 1995). First edition. One of 120 copies SIGNED by both Burroughs and Steadman. This six-color silk-screened print measures 30.25 x 44.25 inches and has the added touch of bullet holes "placed with loving care" by Mr. Burroughs. According to Steadman, "This print was shot by William at his home in Lawrence, Kansas, in 12 blocks of 10 sheets at a time of Mouldmade Fine Paper from a distance of 6 feet in his socks and wearing khaki battle fatigues. The year was 1995. Don't blame me for the strange limitation numbering which goes- A1 thru A10, B1 thru B10, C1 thru C10 etc until L1 thru L10. A1 thru A10 is not available. Neither are some of the other sets which have been allocated here and there to involved parties. But each set is wildly different in effective firearm damage depending on the weapon used by this great and unpredictable writer of the 20th Century." Fine.

(VISIONAIRE). Gan, Stephen, Cecilia Dean & James Kaliardos, Editors. Text by Glenn O'Brien. VISIONAIRE NO. 15: CINDERELLA. New York: Visionaire Publishing, 1995. First Edition 1/2000. 4to. Loose Contents in a Portfolio. Fashion Quarterly. Very Good/No Jacket - As Issued. np, profusely illustrated in color and b&w. Designed by Gregory Foley and Stephen Gan. Published in an edition of two thousand numbered copies, this is the fifteenth installment of everyone's favorite long-running luxe fashion quarterly, Visionaire. "The theme of this issue was the much-loved-and very fashiony fairy tale ''Cinderella.'' We imagined we were making a film and asking each of the various directors (contributing artists) to shoot a scene. Raymond Meier portrayed Cinderella's ride to the castle and the magical moment when the glass shoe fits. Mats Gustafson transformed the pumpkin into a Rolls Royce. Bruce Weber cast the sexy prince. Our fairy godmother was played by legendary fashion editor Polly Mellen in one scene and by legendary drag queen DJ Lady Bunny in another. The one constant was the shoe, a vintage Roger Vivier for Christian Dior from the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was like a game, in which everyone was doing his part, not knowing who else was participating and not knowing how any of the others' images would turn out. Even Glenn O'Brien, who contributed the text, did not see any of the visuals and was only briefed on various segments of the story. Once all the artwork and Glenn's text arrived, like magic, everything fell into place!". A most handsome individually numbered example of this uncommon issue showing the tiniest bit of soiling and sunning to the extremities of the portfolio. Visionaire's own price for this out-of-print back issue is $1,200.00 - when available. PLEASE NOTE: Additional shipping costs are required for this item beyond our standard rates due to its value - we will inform you of the applicable amount at time of purchase.
