After an attempt at his own business in the 1930s, Tooley rejoined Francis Edwards following World War II. Tooley devoted much of his time to the history of cartography and was considered an authority on early maps and cartographers. He authored multiple books on the subject and founded the Map Collectors' Circle, which published a series of monographs on historical cartography from 1963-1975. The festschrift, My Head is a Map, compiled in 1973 for his 75th birthday by British Library Map Librarians Helen Wallis and Sarah Tyacke, celebrated his contributions to the world of antiquarian maps.

Two Donna Summer Embroidered Tour Jackets

(Toluca Lake, California): LP Designs / Cat's Pyjama's. (1979). Two petite, extra small embroidered jackets for tour staff. Faint spotting else about near fine with previous owner's name ("Helene"), a personal assistant who worked for Summer, embroidered on the front side of both jackets. The jackets were provided to staff for two different Donna Summer's tours, designed by Mary Bassel and handmade by LP Designs (on the companies website, they note that Summer was one of their first clients). The first is a black silk-like material embellished with an embroidered portrait of Summer and the concert details from a performance at the Hollywood Bowl on October 13, 1979. The second is a coral-colored satin jacket with black details from the "Summernights Dream Tour: Donna Summer" embroidered on the back, from another 1979 tour (not to be confused with her 1990s "Mid Summer Nights Dream Tour"). Summer had a continuous string of disco hits, including "MacArthur Park," "Hot Stuff," "Bad Girls", "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" and the epic "Love to Love You Baby". In 1979 Summer was the first to win a Grammy for Best Rock Performance, Female, for "Hot Stuff" and later that year sold out her first appearance at the Hollywood Bowl. Donna Summer was posthumously inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 and dubbed the "undisputed queen of the Seventies disco boom." .

Manifesto, Taking a Stand by Soror K.A., Liber LXV Commented by Aleister Crowley and Marcelo Ramos Motta, Untitled Poem by Jonathon Harker, Liber CCXXXI A Personal Research by Marcelo Ramos Motta, The Slightly Smaller Stick (II). A little rubbing to edges of boards and points, slight bulge in outer hinge of upper board (the boards are padded, and this copy was probably like this from new - with the padding not quite perfect). Very faint musty odour, otherwise a tight and bright, VG+ copy in VG+ dust jacket (spine a little darkened, no other flaws) [Attributes: Signed Copy; Hard Cover]
