        A Time to Heal - 1st Edition/1st Printing

New York: Harper & Row, Publishers and the Reader's Digest Association, Inc.. Fine in Fine dust jacket. 1979. First Edition; First Printing; Signed by Author. Cloth. 0060112972 . A Fine First Printing of the First Edition in a just about Fine dust-jacket that has some minor rear scuffing, signed by author and former US President Gerald Ford on the front flyleaf and title page; A Time to Heal is at once the autobiography of a political career and the human story of a dedicated but unassuming man propelled by history into taking on the immense burdens of the Presidency. It is a dramatic, forthright and firsthand account of a decent man's effort to knit together a nation fragmented by Watergate and a White house staff often contentious and badly bruised by the legacy of the Nixon years. There are light moments as well, of family fun, irreverence, pleasure and warmth .

        Kreuzritterburg von Otranto.

. Bleistift, auf cremefarbenem Pauspapier. 21,5:29,4 cm. Kleiner Einriß im Unterrand, kleines Löchlein im Himmel links oben. Provenienz: Friedrich August II., König von Sachsen, Lugt 971. Vergleichsliteratur: Ausst. Katalog: Von Dillis bis Piloty, München 1979, S. 74, vgl. Abb. 43-45; Kat. H.W. Hier begegnete ihm J.A. Götzloff (1799-1866), A.L. Richter (1803-1884), J.H. Schilbach (1798-1851) u. a.

The Book of Jonah. Together with Thirteen Wood Engravings by David Jones for The Book of Jonah

London: Clover Hill Editions, 1979. Quarto. 19pp. One of 300 copies of the ordinary edition, printed on J. Green mould-made paper by Will Carter at the Rampant Lions Press. The portfolio of loose engravings is one of sixty sets printed on Japon. Illustrated with thirteen wood engravings by David Jones, several of which frame the text. Jones was encouraged by Eric Gill to learn the craft of wood engraving, and although one can see the influence of Gill's work in these illustrations, they also reveal a sense of darkness and tumult that is distinctly Jones's own. The first edition was published by the Golden Cockerel Press in 1926; the new edition was printed using Jones's original blocks. The engravings in this portfolio are printed on the same paper as the extra suites in the deluxe and vellum copies of the 1979 reprint, and are untrimmed and therefore slightly larger than the prints included in those suites. The book is very fine in the publisher's binding of cloth-backed patterned paper-covered boards and a clear mylar dust wrapper. Engravings fine in a printed tan card folder.

        Sinister Secret of Frederick K.Bower

Arlington Books, London, 1979, Hardcover, Book Condition: Good, Dust Jacket Condition: Poor, 1st Edition175 pages. This is Anthony Horowitz's first book. Horowitz is now one of the most successful childrens authors in the world. He is best known for his Alex Rider series of books (now made into movies), for his TV series, "Foyles War" and now - after being entrusted by the Fleming estate - new James Bond novels. The dustjacket, the illustrations on which gives hint of Horowitz's boyish energy and humour, is sadly in poor condition. It has many tears - open and closed about both the front and back. Previous attempts at repair have been but a finger in the dyke. Nonetheless the body is clear and the flaps are complete and clean. The red cloth cover is in considerably better condition. It is strong, secure, sure. There is some shelving along the bottom edge run; the corners have shelf depressionsd; the head and foot of the spine have shelf pulls. There is minor discolouration to the bottom of the spine and front edge. The back cover has a faint surface stain to the top left corner, There is also an impression mark that does not travel through the cover. Inside the pages are in very good condition. They are cheerily bright, clean, unblemished, uninjured and strong. fk Quantity Available: 1. Category: Children- Collectable; ISBN: 0851403328. ISBN/EAN: 9780851403328. Inventory No: ajaw.
