Atlas Shrugged 10th Anniversary Signed #d Limited Edition in slipcase, #41 of 2,000 copies

New York: Random House. F/F. [1967] 1957. 1st Edition. Hardcover; 9th Printing. SIGNED by the author, #41 of 2000 copies, this is the 9th printing of Atlas Shrugged. Copyright is 1957 though this printing was retained by Random House and released in 1967 as a 10th anniversary signed numbered limited edition in slipcase, with a limitation page Ms. Rand has signed. Bound in blue cloth with blue upper page edge stain, the author's initials in gold on the front panel and, on the spine, the author's name and the book title in gold on a navy and gold background and the publisher's name in gold at the bottom. Fine book, close to 'as new' condition. It is straight, clean and tightly bound (probably unread) with no soiling or wear to the binding cloth, text or page edges and no rubbing of the gold areas or spine decoration. There is a very short previous owner gift inscription (father to daughter) on the dedication page, and some sunning of the upper page edge stain near the spine. The clear acetate dustjacket is also in Fine condition with no tears, chips or folds (you're seeing it on the book in our images). As usual, the blue-green paper-covered boards of the slipcase - though the case is intact and strong - show sunning of the paper color. About half of the slipcase is now more olive-colored than blue-green. It has a few very small nicks to the paper surface around the case opening and again as usual unevenness of the sunning of the case color depending on what size books it was shelved with in the past that allowed sunlight to reach parts of the case. Truly lovely examples of the book and clear dustjacket. We've graded the slipcase Very Good+ because it is as strong as the day it was made so very structurally sound but we've also downgraded its condition because of surface color sunning.; 8-5/8" x 6"; 1,168 pages; Signed by Author .

Finian's Rainbow (Original screenplay for the 1947 film)

Burbank: Warner Brothers / Seven Arts, 1967. Final Script for the 1968 film, based on the 1947 musical by E.Y. Harburg and Fred Saidy (and written for the screen by them). Working copy, with occasional holograph markings throughout the text in pencil and colored pencil, though the original use of the script is not known. & & Warner Brothers optioned the musical shortly after its premiere in 1947, but Harburg and Saidy were unwilling to tone down the racial satire to fit studio demands, holding out until the option was about to expire and Warner agreed to a script with only minimal changes twenty years later. Coppola was an odd choice to direct, with his realistic, New Hollywood Cinema approach to filmmaking at odds with the fantastical nature of the material, and the results were decidedly mixed, despite a widely-loved performance by Clark. & & The original Broadway production opened at the 46th Street Theater on January 10, 1947, ran for 725 performances and won the 1947 Tony Awards for the Best Actor (David Wayne) as well as Music Direction and Choreography. The film was nominated for Best Sound and Best Score. & & Yellow studio wrappers, stamped FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 59 and dated June 21, 1967. Distribution page present, with receipt intact. Title page present, with credits for screenwriters-playwrights Harburg and Saidy and composer Burton Lane. 130 leaves, mimeograph, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 3/10/67 and 9/15/67. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus with yapping and closed tears, bound with two gold brads.
