Condition: Good. This an original 1958 Evergreen Park High School yearbook featuring Unabomber Theodore John (Ted) Kaczynski - American domestic terrorist, former mathematics professor, and anarchist author. A mathematics prodigy, he abandoned an academic career in 1969 to pursue a primitive lifestyle. Between 1978 and 1995, he killed three people and injured 23 others in an attempt to start a revolution by conducting a nationwide bombing campaign targeting people involved with modern technology. In conjunction, he issued asocial critique opposing industrialization and advancing a nature-centered form of anarchism. The yearbook shows some spine wear and is otherwise in very good condition. Martin Luther King Jr.
New York: Harper and Brothers, 1958. Stride Toward Freedom The Montgomery Story by Martin Luther King, Jr. Hardcover, 230 pages First Edition, Later Printing "C-K" (March, 1960) Harper & Brothers Publishers, New York Signed by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Signature Authenticated by both PSA/DNA (Cert # AG00336) and James Spence Authentication, JSA (Cert # Z73635), the nation's two most premiere and respected signature authentication agencies. This is an extremely rare opportunity to own a piece of history signed by one of the most revered Americans ever. The inside cover page is beautifully and boldly hand-signed: "Best Wishes, Martin Luther King." (A truly rare and desirable clean and bold signature, not inscribed to someone.) The book's previous owner pasted a picture of Dr. King to the upper left of his signature, creating a touching memorial image showing how truly cherished this rare collectible was to it's former owner. Additionally as pictured the original owner pasted a small excerpt that summarizes the contents of the book on one of the blank cover page. Just below Dr.King's signature is a pencil notation in unknown print "8/63," presumably the month & year the book was signed. The book was formerly a part of the Westminster Presbyterian Church's library so it contains some library stamps & stickers as depicted. The dust jacket is a replacement and has wear, chips and a tear on the front bottom. A few scattered tick marks in the margins, but most pages are unmarked. The pages of the second half of the book have a slight crease down the center, as pictured. The book … [Click Below for Full Description]

(London): Andre Deutsch, 1958. First English edition. A worn, fair only copy, bumped at bottom corners, dampstains at the edges of first and last leaf, and other m iddling flaws, in poor dustwrapper with tape repairs and lacking the majority of the spine. Indeed about the only think to recommend this copy is the ownership signature of Lois Sorrells Beckwith, Kerouac's live-in lover, who stayed with the author and his mother in the family home in Northport, Long Island in the early 1960s. Nicknamed by Kerouac as "Kissy One" Sorrells is index numerous times in the author's *Selected Letter*. An association copy of the key novel of the beat generation, written in three weeks but with an effect that shows no sign of diminishing. Fair in Fair jacket. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]

Grove Press, 1958. Very Good. Hardcover. Second printing. Professionally recased. Very good with the pages somewhat toned and the first few dampstained but fresh lettering on the front board and spine fresh in an about very good dustwrapper a bit rubbed, a few tiny tears and partially split at the spine. Inscribed by Kerouac to Terry Southern: "To Beautiful Terry from Ugly Uncle Jack, Jack." Kerouac and Southern met through Southern's *Candy* co-author Mason Hoffenberg, when Southern returned from Paris to New York and settled in Greenwich Village. Southern was notorious for abusing his books and this copy is no exception, hence the re-casing. Still a spectacular association copy linking two iconic counterculture figures in what is often considered one of the scarcest of Kerouac's books to find signed in the regular edition. First edition in the first-issue dust jacket with Fleming's name printed in black on the spine of the sixth Bond thriller, first state binding (Gilbert's variant A), without the "Honeychile" silhouette; the silhouette was later added to bring it in line with other titles in the series which bore designs on the front board. [Fashion/Fabric Trade Catalogue].
Paris: Societe Paritys / Lebotys, 1958. 80 pp. 12 color fashion drawings; ~590 pasted and tipped-in fabric samples 16-1/8" x 12-1/8". Post binder with 3 brass posts. Publisher's pictorial glazed boards, red cloth joints. Light extremity wear to boards; bumping to upper corner of front board; short split to front and rear joints. Page block lightly foxed, foxing/spotting scattered throughout. Few white nylon fabric samples discolored by paste beneath. Fabric samples otherwise clean and bright, with only minor occasional creasing/fraying. Overall, VG. Item #42919 A mid-century salesman's sample catalogue from the winter collection of Parisian firm Société Paritys, a haberdashery and fabric supplier established in 1946 and still in operation today. The late 1950s saw a revolution in French fashion - and, by extension, Western fashion in general - due in no small part to the influence of material factors underlying the purely aesthetic side of the industry: availability of fabric, continuing technological advances in synthetics, and the surging post-war economies of America and Europe. The reluctant expansion of haute couture into the ready-to-wear m … [Click Below for Full Description]
