1748. ***Copy of photos, personal formats, graphics, or text is prohibited. Ebay may drop listings with infractions. I review content regularly. Deluxe Limited Edition Holy Bible with Illustrations from the Vatican Library Author: Illustrations by Description from Regal Books: For the first time ever in a modern leather bound bible (at time of publishing), the most renowned and exquisite biblical art from the archives of the Vatican in a bible of unparalleled beauty. This edition is based on the extraordinary Renaissance 1748 Urbino bible with all 90 of original paintings commissioned by the Duke of Urbino over 500 years ago, and complimented by other specifically selected works from other Renaissance bibles and prayer books made available by the Vatican Library. The ornate borders, column dividers, scrollwork, and illuminated initial letters are all jewels of the renaissance art. I have included a few mash ups of the intricate miniatures, beautiful embellishments, as well as partial or full page illustrations. To reproduce the jewel-like hues of the original art in their full glory, a special six-color printing process was used in creating this master work. Further, to authentically recreate the luster of pure gold that illuminated Renaissance artistry, a special metallic gold ink was formulated exclusively for this edition. Touches are applied in hand-silhouetted detail to imbue this work with golden radiance throughout. This is extremely unusual for Easton Press editions and I have not seen another title with such painstaking effort from that publisher. The illustrations … [Click Below for Full Description]

Ephrata Cloister, 1748. Here is a copy of the well known Ephrata Martyrs Mirror a cornerstone for any collection. This is the first edition printed in German and it was translated from the original Dutch by a brother at the cloister. After it was translated it was also printed at the cloister which took several years. This was the greatest undertaking of that time period in colonial america. If you look at the title pages the dates vary on them because of the length of time it took to print this book. The first shows 1748 and the 2nd shows 1749. Front cover is detached but present. There may be flyleaves missing between the front cover and the front title. All other pages are there and tight as far as i can tell. The spine was replaced at one point and is not original. The covers, including the brass corners are original. A little repair done to the edge of the first title page. Questions please ask. [Attributes: First Edition]
