Boheemen e.a. (red.), 'Kent, en versint Eer datje mint. Vrijen en trouwen 1500-1800', Zwolle 1989, p.185".

Spinckes, N
London: Thomas Astley, 1726. Third edition. Joints splitting, bit of loss to spine head, 1 square inch of front pastedown torn away at fore-edge of front board. He was ordained priest in 1678 and consecrated Bishop in 1713. This, his best-known work, was first published in 1712. This 1726 edition, with the imprint of Thomas Astley, not found on OCLC, though it collates the same as the 1722 third edition published by William Taylor. Steinburger, J.J.
2 unnumbered leaves including engraved title page and author's preface, followed by 24 engraved plates showing floor plans and exterior designs for six different German homes, varying in grandeur, each building represented by floor plans of the first and second floors, a view of the façade, and an elevation or profile, plates numbered in the lower right corner. Some creasing, minor soiling, repair to lower right corner of title page, minor pencil notation to inside front cover, images clear and well-inked. Oblong 4to. Three-quarter calf. Minor wear and rubbing to extremities. Nürnberg (Joh. Christoph Weigels Seel. Wittib.) n.d. (circa 1726-1750). Johann Christian Weigel was a German engraver, art dealer, and publisher, who published an informal series of similar works including Anderer Versuch by J.R. Faesch and Vorstellung Einiger Modernen Gebäude by J.J. Saenger. Weigel passed away in 1726, and it is likely that this work was published by his widow between that time and 1729, when she handed over the business. No other works by J.J. Steinburger are known. Scarce; as of July 2017, WorldCat locates only two holdings in North American institutions.

BLAEU, IOANNES - ALBERTS, RUTGER CHRISTOPHER.
Amsterdam, 1726 circa. Dal " Novum theatrum Pedemontii et Sabaudiae, sive accurata descriptio ipsorum urbium, palatiorum, templorum" (Tomo I, pars, I). Incisione in rame all'acquaforte, b/n, cm 52,8 x 61,2 (alla lastra). [Click Below for Full Description]

Spinckes, N.
London: Thomas Astley, 1726. Third edition. Octavo, contemporary panelled calf, morocco lettering piece; [16], 406 pp.; engraved frontispiece illustration. Joints splitting, bit of loss to spine head, 1 square inch of front pastedown torn away at fore-edge of front board. Still quite presentable and sturdy and a nice example of the "Cambridge panel" style binding of the period. Internally about fine. Armorial bookplate of Edward Dalton to front pastedown. Nathaniel Spinckes (1653-1727), was, according to the Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church, "a man of considerable learning, proficient in Greek, Latin, Anglo-Saxon, and French, with some knowledge of Oriental languages . . ." He was ordained priest in 1678 and consecrated Bishop in 1713. This, his best-known work, was first published in 1712. This 1726 edition, with the imprint of Thomas Astley, not found on OCLC, though it collates the same as the 1722 third edition published by William Taylor. Separate title pages for sections at page 335 ("Some Few Meditations . . .") and page 369 ("A Collection of Farther Prayers") - both with imprint of William Taylor, 1722. Good.
