Kaiser Joseph I., Ferdinand Carl Graf von Welz, Stadt Wien:
Druck: Köhler & Hamburger, Mollardgasse 41. Patent vom 14. [Click Below for Full Description]

Vincenzo Maria CORONELLI (Ravenna 1650 - Venezia 1718)
Rarissima. A very rare map taken from Coronelli's "Teatro della Guerra diviso in XXXXVIII parti" published in Venice (though the front page says Naples) between 1706 and 1709. The collection contains hundreds of views, geographic maps and sea charts depicting the entire world. Ermanno Ermao, who studied Coronelli's production, wrote "it is not easy to determine how many and which are the volumes that belong to the collection ". The volume that describes the Kingdom of Naples has been published in 1707. Some of the maps derive from those already published in the Isolario in 1696, with minor changes; nonetheless, the majority of the views has been realized exclusively for this collection. Blount, Thomas
London: Printed for Dan. Brown, Tim. Goodwin, John Walthoe, M. Newborough, John Nicholso, Benj. Took, D. Midwinter, and Fran. Coggan , 1707. [viii] pages followed by about 600 un-numbered pages of text. Original leather binding with the spine lacking or detached, and the boards are heavily worn. Lacks the rear endpaper, which has caused the final few leaves to be stained along the edges. The front endpaper has two previous owner names or blindstamps. A few pages of text are soiled, but for the most part the text is clean and unmarked. This volume would greatly benefit from a rebacking or a rebinding, but it is quite attractive and is protected in custom-fitted stiff archival mylar. This is the first English dictionary to employ the extensive use of woodblocks for illustrations. Approximately the first third of the text has small wormholes to the bottom margin, sometimes affecting the text. First edition.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good- condition. Octavo (8vo).

Courtilz, Gatien de, Sieur de Sandras
London: Printed: Sold by J. Woodward in St. Christopher's Church-yard Thredneedle street; and J. Morphew, near Stationers-Hall, 1707. 5 unn. p., 413 [some out of order, some misnumbered], list of books printed and sold by Ralph Smith, at the Bible under the Royal Exchange in Cornhil, 5 p. entitled, "The French Publisher's Preface" at the end. This is a work of fiction, originally published without attribution in French in 1678. The preface to the French publication is very much tongue-in-cheek, in which its author and others express their wonder and incredulity at some of "Count de Rochefort's" tales but then express confidence in the reliability and honor of those who testify to the facts. The Count and a character from another novel were appropriated and combined to form a character in Alexander Dumas's "The Three Musketeers." This book has been nicely bound in half-leather and marbled paper, with gilt title and date on the spine, all edges gilt. There are notes in very, very pale pencil correcting some of the page numbering and on the free endpaper. The front cover is detached and the front endpaper is cracked. The spine is firm and the text is secure, so repair would not be difficult. The extremities are a little worn. The perforated library ownership mark is on the title page, with a "withdrawn" stamp on the other side. There is a stamped library mark on the last page and a neat bookplate inside the front cover. The library call number is written in ink on the spine. The text printing is uneven (some printing is darker than other, etc.) and some pages have a little dar … [Click Below for Full Description]
