Capilettera e cartigli incisi. Esemplare in barbe. Alcune tarlature ai margini delle prime e delle ultime carte, che ledono alcune lettere solo all'ultima carta della "Tavola delle Materie". Il Dalli, religioso domenicano, era consanguineo di quei Salvatore e Giandomenico autori di una rinomata "Cronica di Lucca".

Separate title page for Part II but pagination and register are continuous.; also some additional half titles. Bound in original calf; spine rebacked ,in compartments with raised bands with contrasting maroon morocco title labels. Some wear to extremities of boards but otherwise a very good crisp copy. Early annotations on blank pages, including one page in shorthand, and margins and a few underlinings. The epistles of the early church fathers written in the first and second centuries AD. 'During a period of convalescence after illness he produced a translation of the Genuine Epistles of the Apostolic Fathers, which was published in 1693. Although reprinted twice, this was not a work of original scholarship but of popularization, making available to English readers texts which helped to demonstrate that the Church of England 'in all respects comes the nearest up to the primitive pattern of any Christian Church at this Day in the World' ' (DNB). William Wake (1652-1737) was educated in his native North Dorset and at Oxford, being ordained in 1681. After the Revolution of 1688 he was appointed a chaplain to William and Mary and later became Rector of St James, Westminster. Subsequently he received preferment as Bishop of Lincoln and finally as Archbishop of Canterbury in 1716. Book measures 7 7/8 X 6 3/8", gathering of leaves is quarto in the main. 47 pages with errata line last page below finis and horizontal line. Slender pamphlet has been laid into gray hard cover boards, the grade is a compromise between the newish boards and aged text. Handsome red leatherish label with gilt lettering on spine. Previous owner has penciled SJ name, Wing citation (S826) and placements on the new first pastedown and endsheet, small. No edge darkening, or foxing to speak of, text is beautiful with 3/8" clearance at upper/lower margins and a full inch at sides. 3 pages have bottom corner tears, 2 quite minor little diagonals the other has removed one letter at extreme text edge. The boards are unbumped and clean, the back has tiny light spot/ and blemish, fingert tip size..

Afm.: 61 x 87,5 cm.Grote gedetailleerde zeekaart van de ingang van de Zuiderzee gezien van zuid naar noord. De meeste kleine plaatsen zijn aangegeven met een kerk of ander gebouw, van sommige steden zijn de fortificaties te zien. Met inzetkaart van de Zuiderzee van Urk tot aan Amsterdam.De Zuiderzee lag vol zandbanken en andere ondieptes. Daardoor was het een moeilijk vaarwater. Vooral in het noordelijke deel - de huidige Waddenzee - konden schepen met moeite een route vinden. Daarvoor gebruikten schippers kaarten als deze waarop dieptes, zandbanken, bakens en visfuiken zijn aangegeven.Le Neptune Fran?ois, beschouwd als de fraaiste en kwalitatief meest hoogstaande zeeatlas die in de zeventiende eeuw in Amsterdam werd uitgegeven, is een zogenaamde contrefa?on: een nadruk. Giacomo Cantelli, nativo da Vignola come egli fa notare nella sua firma, fu il primo cartografo ufficiale della corte di Modena, dal 1685, anno in cui il duca Francesco II lo nominò geografo e conservatore della biblioteca ducale.
