[Poems ; Letters to Divers Eminent Personages ; An Account of Religion By Reason ; Aglaura ; The Goblins ; Brennoralt - a tragedy. Lacks the preliminary blank leaf. A fresh copy, tightly bound in a modern smooth calf, with a blind stamped panel. Signed (1752) by the Kent antiquary Brian Faussaett (1720-1776), with his armorial bookplate, and with the signature of his mother Mary Godfrey. Title with first line in upper and lower case. Frontispiece portrait engraved by William Marshall. Ox. Comp. Eng. Lit. describes him as 'the greatest gallant and gamester of his day' (and inventor of Cribbage) as well as the most brilliant and elegant of the Cavalier Poets.
