CURABELLE (Jacques)
"It contains literal quotations of [Desargues]’s lost "Brouillon [Brouillon project d'une atteinte aux événements des rencontres d'un cône avec un plan]", the beginning of the New geometry. Moreover here we find the first printed mentioning of "La Pascale", the mystic hexagram, published in 1640 by the sixteen years old Pascal in a broadside, known only by one copy which survived." (Weill). [Click Below for Full Description]

COLOMA (Alonso).
En Barcelona, Gabriel Nogues, 1644 (i.e. 1614). Petit in-16. 23ff. 449pp. (i.e. 452) 6ff. Printed for R.F., 1644. 12mo. [228]pp. Nineteenth-century cloth, rubbed to extremities. Closed tear to leaf D2, very occasional marking, else a crisp copy. Francis Quarles (1592 - 1644), English poet. Better known for his several emblem books and divine verse, especially popular with English puritans, his prose Enchiridion, which includes a significant number of political as well as moral aphorisms, better reflected his royalist tendencies; and was indeed dedicated to 'Charles Prince of Wales'. First published in 1640 in 24mo setting, this third edition is the first in a duodecimo format. All early editions are rare, and this third edition, is no exception; ESTC records copies at BL, Cambridge, Oxford and Princeton only. ESTC R220612. Not in Grolier, Wither to Prior (c/f 710/711). OBRECHT, Georg von.
(Straßburg, L. Zetzners Erben, 1644). 4to. 1 (statt 7) Bl., 59 S., 3 Bl.; 351 (recte 331) S., 4 Bl. Moderner Pappband. Bedeutende staatswissenschaftlich-kameralistische Schrift. [Click Below for Full Description]
