Autograph letter signed.
Venice, 30. X. 1858. - Large 8vo. 3 pp. on double leaf. To an unnamed recipient about his relentless efforts in performing his "Tannhäuser". Since the court theaters at Stuttgart and Braunschweig were still unwilling to stage the opera, Wagner is very pleased that his addressee wants to enact it, and gives him some detailed information concerning his professional fee ("at least 50 Louisd'or"). - Somewhat soiled and spotty, and some small damages to edges.
