Coloured frontis with tissue guard (browned), profuse coloured, b/w, & monochrome plates and text illusts. Full calf, gilt decorated to both boards with decoration stamped in blind, gilt decorated to spine, trifle rubbed. Corners rubbed, with short split to leather at top corner of lower board. Tooled dentelles. Marbled endpapers and edges. Contents exceptionally clean and bright. No foxing or spotting. Binding sound and firm. A handsome copy. Very heavy book, requiring extra postage. We reduce the default shipping charge for lighter books or use it for a tracked service if books are expensive or uncommon. We pack books securely in boxes, or corrugated card or cardboard, and protect corners with bubble-wrap.
