London / Dublin: Sampson Low, Searle, Marston, & Rivington / E. Ponsonby, 1879; 1882, 1879. Two volumes bound in one, with original printed grey wrappers bound-in (both front and rear covers). Signed: "With the Author's Compl's Standish O'Grady" at the head of p.1 in vol. 1, and at the head of the preface in vol. 2. Vol. 1: pp. [1]-88, [2] - reviews; Vol. 2: pagination irregular but continuous - [i]-iii, 6, 109-267, 2, 121-348. Bound into half maroon calf and maroon cloth, double green leather spine labels stamped in gilt, marbled edges and endpapers. Circular owner's stamp of Albert Ernest Stafford Smythe [1861-1947] who was a journalist in Belfast, Chicago, and Toronto, author of 2 books of poetry, introduced Theosophy into Canada, and was the first President of the Toronto Theosophical Society. Very minor rubbing at the extemities, else very good copy of this scarce item.. Signed. First Editions. Hard Cover. Very Good. 12 Mo..
