White Fang [First Edition, First Issue with rare integral title leaf]
New York: Macmillan, 1906. An attractive, much better-than-average copy of the very scarce FIRST ISSUE. Very Good condition. Name roughly erased from front free endpaper, leaving a small hole. Rubbing to black horizon and snow on front cover art (behind wolf in moonlight). SEE PHOTOS. Thin crack to rear inner hinge. Corners are NOT bumped. SEE PHOTOS. 1906. First Published Edition, First Issue with integral title/copyright page [i.e. NOTa tipped-in cancel as with most copies]. SEE PHOTOS. Complete with all 8 full page color illustrations, including a tissue-guarded frontispiece, by Charles Livingston Bull. All plate colors are still bright and vivid. Note that Woodbridge states one or more of these illustrations "are often missing." Illustrated endpapers and 5 divisional plates printed in brown-orange. Bound in the original bluish-green cloth, stamped with white lettering on the front cover and bright gold on the spine. SEE PHOTOS. Woodbridge/London/Tweney 46. BAL 11896. Walker/Sisson 11.
