Porrigo decalvans.
- Delineations of Cutaneous Diseases, 40. - London, Henry G. Bohn, 1816 (1849), 1 hand colored engraved plate, 246 x 242 mm, added a descriptive text leaf. PORRIGO decalvans ; a variety which is also called ringworm, and which may sometimes be the result of the decalvating process of the preceding species. In general, however, there is no manifest appearance of disease in the patches of this species, except complete baldness, of a very white and smooth appearance, and in form more or less circular, while the hair surrounding the patches is as thick as usual. - "In 1814 Bateman acquired the copyright to the engravings in the Willan treatise. He arranged to have the plates refurbished, replaced a few, added to them a completely new set of engravings depicting the later Genera, which had never before been illustrated."
