Original dustjacket over white paper-covered boards with black lettering on cover and spine. Following the essay "World beyond the Eyes" by Masakazu Yamazaki this book is illustrated with over 100 skillful b/w photographs of scenes in the Trappist monastery, the women's penitentiary and the man made island built to mine coal, all "closed" worlds with the subsequent "social" and work related settings. DJ rubbed with light wear along edges and slightly smudged and foxed on inside. Binding with light foxing. Endpapers moderately foxed. DJ and binding in overall good-, interior in very good condition.
