Oxford Univ Press, NY 1951 - An extremely scarce book by Tasha Tudor which tells the story of a young girl who is given a baby black bear cub to raise until it grows too large and a bit dangerous for her family's house. Lovely illustrations by Tudor which help push the story along. Cover has very slight soil and a touch of rubbing to the corners and to the bottom of the boards adjacent to the spine. TUDOR IS A MULTI-CALDECOTT WINNER. Extraordinary copy; OUT OF PRINT. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
