Ellis and Palmer.
London, Robert Laurie & James Whittle, 1798.. Second [best] Edition. Large Octavo. Engraved title, engraved dedication-page and 78 beautifully engraved and handcoloured maps with descriptions. Original half-leather with gilt lettering on original red spinelabel. Excellent condition with minor scuffing to upper spine. Front free endpaper missing. The pastedown with minor peeling. Interior in absolutely excellent condition. The handcoloured maps in stunning colour. NO spotting or foxing !! The best version of this Atlas we have ever seen.. At the time of cataloging only two of these Atlases were available on the international market (one for 7700 Euros in similar condition like the one we have on offer and one unfortunately with later rebinding for 2250 Euros). This is an absolute must have for every collector of irish maps.
