London: Selwyn and Blount Ltd. November 1931. First edition, first printing. Original red paper covered boards with black titles to the upper board and spine, in dustwrapper. A good copy, that would be very good but for some paper residue from the underside of the dustwrapper adhered to the rear board and spine edge. The contents are entirely complete with a previous owner?'s name to the front pastedown and some offsetting to the endpaper. Complete with the correct first issue dustwrapper which is heavily worn with several tears, small loss and some damp staining. Scarce. The stories include: "Creeping Fingers" by Loretta G. Burrough; "The Owl" by F.A.M. Webster; "Four Doomed Men" by G. Vace; "The Curse of the House of Phipps" by S. Quinn; "His Beautiful Hands" by O. Cook; "The Seeds of Death" by D.H. Keller; "Passing of a God" by H. S. Whitehead; "Prince Borgia's Mass" by August W. Derleth; "Pussy" by Flavia Richardson; "The Wonderful Tune" by Jessie D. Kerruish; "The Scourge of Mektoub" by P. Ernst; "Rats" by M. Annesley; "The Idol of Death" by R. Jackson & A.E. Chapman; "The Gray Killer" by E. Worrell; "Guardians of the Guavas" by C.H. Mackintosh.
