Photographs 1970-1990
New York: HarperCollins. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine. SIGNED LIMITED FIRST EDITION, one of only 326 copies signed by Leibovitz. A collection of Annie Leibovitz's most classic photographs. The photographs made up her first museum show, which "took place in 1991 at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. and toured internationally for six years. At the time she was only the second living portraitist - and the only woman - to be featured in an exhibition by the institution." ("Life Through a Lens", PBS).

Included in the book are such legendary photographs as those from the Rolling Stones' 1975 world tour; the last ever taken of John Lennon, nude and wrapped around a fully-clothed Yoko Ono; Nixon's resignation; and Leibovitz's series of ballet dancers, with Mikhail Baryshnikov, Mark Morris, and Darci Kistler.

In addition to commemorating Leibovitz's talent as a photographer, Photographs is emblematic of the three decades it spans, depicting celebrities and major events with unparalleled artistry and intimacy.

New York: HarperCollins Publishers, 1991. Folio, original cloth, original pictorial slipcase. Very minor wear to slipcase; tiny spot of soiling on spine; generally a fine copy. Rare.
