First edition bound probably in original full marbled brown leather, title label to spine is missing, worn gilt cross bands and embellishments to the spine. Quarto 10½'' x 8½''. Contains [x] 178 printed pages of text with frontispiece, one large fold-out plate and six other full-page plates. List of Subscribers. Front hinge is very tender and exposed, wear to the corners and spine ends, contents in very clean condition and with only very minor ghosting to the paper edges. Member of the P.B.F.A.
