FIRST EDITION 1767, 4to, approximately 265 x 185 mm, 10½ x 7¼ inches, 70 copper plates engraved by Isaac Taylor, 12 double page, 44 singles, all the doubles with 2 numbers, and 2 of the singles likewise, pages: viii, iv, 26, plus 4 pages of publisher's adverts, with subscribers list, bound in full contemporary calf, rebacked to style, raised bands, gilt motif in compartments, gilt lettered red morocco label, endpapers replaced. Corners slightly worn, a few dark marks and one or two small scrapes to surface on covers, pale damp staining to top and fore - edge margins of signature C and the same margins of 7 single plates and 2 doubles, otherwise a very good clean tight copy.
