J. Tonson - London 1732 - 5 1/8" x 8", 350, 358 pp. Original full calf Cambridge bindings with elegantly tooled panels and corners; spines with 5 raised bands and gilt titled red leather spine label. All cover edges gilt floral design. Corners with very slight wear; spine tops with minor losses. Light handling marks and edge bumps. All volumes have 1" separations along top spine edges, vol. 2 with the same at the spine bottom. Straight line vertical grog stain on the back of vol. 2, seems moveable but untried. Bindings straight, square and secure with hinges supple. Interior remarkably bright, clean and unmarked. Woodblock vignettes on title pages. Vol. 2, p. 211 begins later printing of Berkeley's own work " An Essay Towards a New Theory of Vision". NOT EX-LIBRARY [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
