Odessa File, The [Inscribed]
London: Hutchinson, 1972. First Impression. Hardcover. Near Fine+/Fine. First Edition ('First published 1972' on the copyright page) of the author's second book following The Day Of The Jackal. Filmed in 1974 film with Jon Voight and Maximilian Schell. 8vo; [x], 310pp. Publisher's black cloth, the spine stamped in silver gilt, the title page printed in red and black, with grey end papers; in a grey typographic dust jacket lettered in black and red, priced at £2. Inscribed expansively on the verso of the author's notes, 'For/Professor and Mrs Cameron,/with all my best wishes,/from "Derry."/Freddie Forsyth.' A better than Near Fine copy, with a lightly dust-spotted top edge and tape ghosts to the fly leaves; in a Fine jacket. Forsyth commonly signed his books from 'Freddie,' but use of the familiar 'Derry' is unusual. Note: With few exceptions (always identified), we only stock books in exceptional condition, with dust jackets carefully preserved in archival, removable polypropylene sleeves. All orders are packaged with care and posted promptly. Satisfaction guaranteed.
