Typed letter signed to Emma Tennant
one page, approximately 120 words 30 October 1977, Siena - The author offers a short story for publication to the editor of the literary magazine `Bananas' (which, in its 25 issues between 1975 and 1979, published work by Angela Carter, Ted Hughes, Beryl Bainbridge, Harold Pinter, Bruce Chatwin, Philip Roth and J. G. Ballard): "The story I showed Francis [King] before I left is rather long and not yet COOKED enough. But you can have this, IF you want it. Francis knows it already and likes it, though since he read it I've boiled it down too." With an autograph subscription from King to Tennant: "Emma - let me know what you do about this - Francis." Slight creasing but in excellent condition. Letters by Chatwin are very scarce. [Attributes: Soft Cover]
