Leicester: Brockhampton Press, 1965.. FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp.181, [2] publisher's titles list. Prize bookplate to front flyleaf. Bound in publisher's black cloth with titles in gilt to spine. Pictorial dustjacket, black, designed by Leslie Stead, showing a plane against the moon and Algy wielding an explosives trigger, with titles in yellow to front cover, titles in white against red cartouche, rear cover lists further Biggles titles; unclipped, originally priced 10s 6d. Clean inside, with no signs of spotting. Binding likewise clean, with touch of bumping at spine ends and to top corners; very minor spotting to front edge of text block. Dustwrapper is bright, though rubbed to corners, joints, and edges, with some minor chips and tears. The title refers to a particularly beautiful pearl, "the Blue Moon of Asia", kept in the collection of Lin Seng, who is trying to transport his collection from Malaysia to London. Various villains attempt to steal the pearls, but Biggles and Algy triumph, naturally.
